AI outfit breakdown: annotated clothing from a reference photo
An outfit breakdown organizes the clothing, shoes, bags and accessories visible in a photo into a visual explanation. Upload a source image to the creative assistant and directly ask it to generate an outfit breakdown image based on visible details.

What you can make
Explain an existing outfit
Organize visible shapes, textures and layering across garments, shoes, bags and accessories.
Discuss a design proposal
Place an outfit image beside its breakdown to explain details that should stay or change.
Compare several looks
State the total number of source and breakdown images, then check each output against its corresponding reference.
How to use it
- Start a new chat and upload a clear full-outfit photo. If there are several people or images, identify the subject and the role of each reference.
- Tell the assistant to turn the original into a clothing breakdown image. It uses the relevant creative workflow from your request; no preset or fixed template is required.
- Specify the number of breakdown images, label language and aspect ratio, plus the garments, colors, textures and accessories to retain. A request for text analysis alone is not an image request.
- For design followed by breakdown, state both stages and the total, for example: “1 outfit photo plus 1 breakdown based on that result, 2 images in total.”
- Check the actual delivered images against their sources. Download them or import them into the infinite canvas for comparison; use task status to identify failed or missing items.
Start with an example
Make one annotated board from an uploaded outfit
Attach a photo you have permission to use before sending the request. Supply missing source material first.
- Message to the creative assistant
Create 1 outfit breakdown image from my uploaded photo. Preserve the visible garments, shoes, bag and accessories, including their colors, textures and layers. Place individual items and close-ups beside the subject, with short English labels and leader lines. Describe only visible details; do not invent dimensions, material composition or brands. Generate an actual image, not just written analysis.
Check the result: Compare items and prints with the original. Mark unclear construction as uncertain instead of using an AI image to infer real product specifications.
Open toolCommon questions
Can this replace a technical pack or sewing pattern?
No. It supports visual discussion, not measured dimensions, verified pattern pieces, sewing instructions or proof of manufacturing feasibility.
Can I generate an outfit first and then its breakdown?
Yes. Describe the full request and total count together. The breakdown must reference an actual available earlier image; check the reported missing items if a source fails or the budget is insufficient.
How is an outfit breakdown different from virtual try-on?
A breakdown separates and explains clothing visible in a photo. Virtual try-on illustrates a garment on a specified reference person. Both are visual creation and do not prove real-world fit.
