1. Write the invitation before generating the background
Craftmas appears in Etsy's autumn/winter trend report. Here the deliverable is a Christmas craft-night invitation, useful for a studio, café or small community workshop.
Prepare the activity, confirmed date, location, registration method and what is included. The example below is fictional and deliberately leaves venue details unconfirmed. Replace those fields before publication. Do not let the model invent an address, price or QR code.
For an editable project, open the creative assistant. Ask for layers explicitly and choose the editable design option if the interface offers a format choice.
2. Use a complete Craftmas poster brief
Create an editable Craftmas workshop poster at 1080 × 1350 pixels.
Headline: Craftmas Night
Subtitle: Make a little holiday magic
Activity: Paper ornaments and gift tags
Date: [confirmed date and time]
Venue: [confirmed venue]
Booking: [confirmed registration text]
Do not invent missing details; mark them “To be confirmed”.
Design a warm ivory paper background. Keep a wide clear middle area; arrange burgundy ribbon, paper ornaments, wooden stars and a paintbrush only at the edges. Use burgundy and forest-green accents with strong contrast for the text.
Put the headline, subtitle, activity, date, venue and booking information in separate editable text layers. Keep the background image separate. Do not bake text into the generated image.
Make the headline readable on a phone and leave generous margins. No logos, fake QR codes or extra claims.
Return an editable project and a preview. Check wording and collisions.
If you only need a background first, use image creation with the visual paragraph and request no text. The cover is an example of this background direction, not evidence that every object can be edited separately.
3. Test a real revision: change only the time
Open the delivered project and select the date. Confirm it is a text layer, not lettering painted into an image. Use the layered-poster walkthrough for opening it from the canvas.
Change only the date layer to “Saturday, 15:00–17:00”.
Keep the headline, other wording, background and decorations unchanged. Do not regenerate imagery.
If the new line wraps, adjust only that layer's size or position. Keep it inside the safe margins and clear of the booking line.
For a manual change, edit the text directly. Lock layers that must stay fixed before asking the assistant for a revision. Review the actual save result rather than assuming that the request succeeded.
4. Check phone readability and print size
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Decorations compete with the schedule | Remove a prop or simplify that part of the background |
| Date becomes two cramped lines | Shorten the wording or give the date more width |
| QR code looks plausible but fails | Replace it with a real tested code made from your actual link |
| Print looks soft | Check pixel dimensions with the printer before ordering |
1080 × 1350 is a social image format, not a promise of print quality at every size. Review a small-screen preview, check the final booking destination and ask the printer about bleed and resolution when printing.
5. Keep the editable file and the final image
Does a PNG keep text layers? No. Download the native .sparkles project for further editing and a PNG or JPEG for publishing. If you export PSD, inspect its conversion report and open it in the receiving editor; some elements may be rasterized.
Does changing the date cost another generation? Manual text changes do not submit an image-generation job. Asking the assistant can use Credits, as can creating or regenerating the background.
Can the AI design the craft instructions too? Use it to draft a plan, then check materials, timing and suitability with the workshop host. This article creates the invitation, not a tested physical craft kit.
For matching décor planning, try the Table Dressing moodboard.
